What will it take to make millions? How old do you have to be in order to be considered successful? These lingering questions you have can be easily answered by the ‘Teen Wolf of Wall Street’. The person you are about to meet is very much like Jordan Belfort, Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in “The Wolf of Wall Street”.
A Grade 12 Stuyvesant High School student from Queens, NY made tens of millions of dollars by trading stocks on his lunch breaks; $72m to be exact. The earnings were reported in today’s issue of New York News & Politics Magazine.
The student’s name is Mohammed Islam and he’s only 17 years old. Like Jordan Belfort, he started his passion for hedge-fund management with penny stocks. He was not always as successful; in fact, he lost a big chunk of his tutoring money to bad decisions at the age of 9. So he became a scholar of modern finance and started studying hedge fund managers, such as Paul Tudor Jones.
His new found wealth has afforded him to buy a new BMW car for himself. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a license to drive it. He also rented out a Manhattan apartment for himself, although his parents won’t let him move out just yet. He can be found dining at Morimoto on 10th Avenue, where he and his friends feast on $400 caviar, expensive dishes, and freshly-squeezed apple juice.
Not only is Islam a millionaire, but he’s a leader of his pack. He’s not trading alone. He has the support of two other friends.
“Mo’s our maestro,” said one of the pals. “We want to create a brotherhood. Like, all of us who are connected, who are in something together, who have influence.”
What’s next for Mohammed Islam?
He and two friends intend to make a billion dollars by next year. All while attending college.
