Do you have a negative review on Facebook you would like to hide? Are your customers having trouble leaving a positive Facebook review because the tab is inexistent?

It’s very easy to turn Facebook reviews and rating stars on or off. If you’ve never done it before, then it may be tough to figure out on your own. The tips are only applicable to local Facebook business pages that have reviews and ratings because they require a physical address.

Here are the steps you will need to take to turn Facebook Reviews tab on or off:

  • Login as admin to the Facebook business page. Click the “About Tab” and then select “Page Info” located on the left navigation bar.

Step 1

  • In the page info section, click on the “address line” or “edit link”.

step 2

  • Under the map, check or uncheck the box that says “Show map, check-ins and star ratings on the page. Save and now you’re done.

step 3

One of my roles here at iRISEmedia as Digital Marketing Manager is to help businesses with reputation management and getting “real” customers to leave positive reviews on Google, Yelp and other places isn’t an easy task. Many businesses don’t focus too much on Facebook reviews, but I would imagine that it would be far easier to get reviews posted on a Facebook business page as almost every customer has an account on there.

If you have a negative review you would like to suppress, we encourage you to read it carefully and try to enact change, given the feedback. Doing so will not only improve your business, but it’s going to make you a hero in the eyes of your customers who now feel like you’re really listening to them. That’s how great brands are born. When you hide reviews, you’re simply sweeping all the dirt under the rug. Eventually you will need to sweep it out.
